CALIFORNIA WATER SERVICE GROUP DIRECTOR TO RETIRE

SAN JOSE, CA — California Water Service Group (NYSE : CWT) today announced outside director David N. Kennedy’s decision to retire after serving on the board since 2003.
“Dave took his board responsibilities very seriously, as all of our board members do, and after careful consideration, he decided it was time to focus on personal rather than professional pursuits,” said Group Chairman, Robert W. Foy.
“We will certainly miss him. He brought a wealth of water industry expertise to the table and served the company well,” Foy said.
Kennedy, age 70, previously served as director of the California Department of Water Resources and is a life member of the American Society of Civil Engineering.
California Water Service Group is the parent company of California Water Service Company, Washington Water Service Company, New Mexico Water Service Company, Hawaii Water Service Company, Inc., and CWS Utility Services.
