Cal Water Names Mike Jasper District Manager for Westlake District

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif.—California Water Service (Cal Water) announced today that Mike Jasper was selected as the new District Manager of the utility’s Westlake operations.

He will succeed Doug Varney, who will retire later this year.

Jasper has been with Cal Water for more than 10 years and has extensive hands-on knowledge of district operations and water systems. He started his Cal Water career in the company’s Westlake District in 2014 as a Utility Worker and has over 19 years of experience in the water utility industry. He has held positions including Interim Supervisor/Superintendent and Superintendent.

“Mike is a natural-born leader and a great community partner,” said Henry Wind, Director of Field Operations, Southern Region. “He will lead the team working to make sure our Westlake District customers continue to receive the same excellent quality, service, and value they have come to expect and deserve.” 

Jasper holds Water Treatment Grade Two and Water Distribution Grade Four certifications from the State Water Resources Control Board.
